I agree with you PL. Only thing I don't agree with is that this is a isolated incident. A man doesn't just up and beat somebody A$$ this bad. This was a slow progression. She's a damn fool to be with him after all this, even if only based on embarrassment alone, she should've went her own way, and let him go his.

booooooo... I guess my reply was too long because it got cut off.

In a nutshell, I said I hope they both get the help they need. His career as we know it, is over. Unless he takes some time off and goes hardcore hip-hop (like E mentioned) or he takes some years off and after publicly apologizing and admitting he had / has a problem and intends to take every step possible to get help... he goes gospel. Might sound crazy to some, but it's possible. But he'll never be the star that he was. Self-defense even against a woman as a man, is one thing. But a beatdown is something completely different and there's no way to defend it (unless she had a gun pointed in his face, in which case all bets are off). I shouted out Emani for her first VLog... good stuff. You wrong as rain for the DJay track in the background, LOL.

No matter if this was an isolated incident (that was the result of some underlying anger issues that never showed themselves before now) or this was a major blow-up that followed other minor issues over time, there's a problem. And I hope he gets help. As for the attempted cover-up, I mean I understand it from a business standpoint... but damn. Some things just can't be covered. I got a lot more I could say, but I'm past wordy with this reply already. So I'm gone.

I'm not speaking for Akiey or claiming to know where he's coming from, however:

I recall when I was in 3rd grade. Had just moved back up north from the south, first day of school... and my moms who comes from a big family, told me if anyone hits you, you hit them back, boy or girl. Now I don't remember if it was because I was small (a year younger than most of my class) or what, but the statement went on to say... "if a girl is bad enuff to hit like a boy, then she's bad enuff to get hit like a boy."

Now FYI, I have no intentions on telling my son that, but I get it. At the same time, after a certain age (and no I don't know what the age is or should be), that kind of thinking has to go out the window. 1. JUST CAUSE and 2. the physical maturation and separation starts to take place. Keeping that in mind, a woman should NOT ever place her hands on a man. Unless she is trying to get him off of her, there is NO REASON for her to lay her hands on him. Point blank period. Because what a lot of women fail to realize and flat out refuse to accept is... WE ARE NOT THE SAME. It's a novel concept that gets lost on a lot of women. "No man should hit a woman, no man should hit a woman..." yeah, so I got all that. But just like with other things how women are more contemplative and men more instinctive, the same goes with anything physical. If you as a woman, lay your hands on a man, there is a 50/50 chance yo'ass could get hit back. Maybe I'll change that to a 50/50 chance that you could get hit if you hit him more than once in one setting. Is it wrong? No question, but that's the situation you put yourself in when you choose to make things physical. You never know. Now I agree with Emani 100%, if a woman hauls off and hits you, the proper reaction (if simply walking away is not an option for whatever reason) should be to try and restrain her at least long enough to calm her down until u can remove yourself from the situation. Couldn't agree more

Now as for this Chris and Rhi-Rhi incident. I swear, this is the first blog, forum topic or anything else I've responded to regarding the case. Mainly because I'm up in the air about it. The only reason I was up in the air really, was because when the story first dropped, there was no clear cut story. The media was giving bits and pieces and most of that was coming from gossip sites. So I got fed up, and closed off all of it. If it came on the news, I turned. On the radio, I turned... it was an article online, I turned. Because with something this serious, the worst we can do is assume off of broken information. But then it was made known that it was a beatdown and it's like dude, there's no defending that. I mean everybody makes mistakes, some more severe than others, but this... like damn CB. And then details about what he "allegedly" said to her, and details of the actual altercation (blow-by-blow... no pun intended)... like DUDE, what the hell went through your head bruh.

I don't know, the situation is sad. Mainly because they were both two young stars in the game, with big names. And he basically pissed that all away, over a serious lapse of judgement. It's a line that I'm putting in this novel I'm attempting to write, that is so true. And I think every celebrity or someone with some money... and ppl in general should adopt. "Ain't no ass bad enough to cost me my cash." Take that line and adapt it how you see fit, and it's true. We as ppl just need to think. "Okay this right here looks like it could be real bad news if it happened, so let me not get involved." "Me being seen with this person, could make me look real bad, so let me not even deal with them." "This girl here is fine as hell, we click whatever, she's a bit of a hot head and at times pushes all of my wrong buttons... this might turn explosive, let me go over here." Now on the latter, I'm not saying that's what happened, it's just a similar example of knowing when to walk away.

wow, at the description Pre just posted. That break my heart... i mean it truly does. There is no defending that... and did you see the image of her injured face! I mean COME ON NOW, and he didn't have not one scratch on him! How can one say they need all the info! Wow. I'm so disappointed in that statement.

Also, Emani, I agree about how a man and a woman are not ever fully equal when it comes to physicalities, and the example you used was really good. Only a weak, immature punk would hit a woman and justify it as okay. period. if she was always hitting him or something...you break up with the woman, you don't do something like this... and as far as I know, that was not the case.

Vid was on point Emani. I thought it was just me when I read Akiey's piece. Had to read it a few times and domestic violence is not okay from the female or the male. Check it, this is what I pulled from online a few minutes ago:

According to the documents, Brown tried to push Rihanna from his rented Lamborghini but failed because she was wearing a seatbelt.

Brown then shoved Rihanna's head against the passenger window and repeatedly punched her in the face, spattering blood in the car and on her clothing and filling her mouth with blood, the affidavit said.

During the beating, Rihanna left a message for an assistant to have police waiting for the couple at home, prompting Brown to tell her: "You just did the stupidest thing ever. I'm going to kill you."

According to the documents, Brown continued to punch Rihanna, bit her ear and finger and put her into a headlock.

LMAO@ the video black yoda posted. WOW... yeah... that's exactly what it sounds like to me! I've been through this, and so the topic of domestic violence or abuse is very close to my heart, and there is NO WAY I could fix my mind or lips to defend abuse of any kind.

I agree with Dessa and black Yoda! Not sure what Aikey is saying either. FIRST THERE ARE MANY RUMORS. Judging from the INSIDE...nuff said...he was WRONG!
Black Yoda Comment by Black Yoda on March 1, 2009 at 5:34am
I blogged about this so I'll just repeat a few of the points I made.

First, Chris Brown beat her ass. There's nothing more to it. They're calling "wife beaters" Chris Brown's now.

Second, I hate when people try to be all on the fence about it. "Let's wait..let's be calm...let's reserve judgment until all of the facts are out." No, muh'fucka, he beat her ass. You sound like this:

Third, the girls in my high school class that support CB say she got her ass beat because she gave him an STD. From sipping on some sizzzurp to tripping off some Hizzzerp. That was the rumor spreading like a tumor. And the reaction was the same from both boys and girls: "I'da beat that ass too."The point I tried to make is that it doesn't matter what happened. There's a right way and a wrong way to handle the situation. He chose the wrong way.

Finally, his career isn't necessarily over. You got rapists, pedophiles, drug dealers and multiple felons who are still very successful and in the public eye. And I'm just talking about members of congress. CB will probably be allright if he can make a few pieces of ear candy. Someone get R. Kelly on the phone. Didn't Kobe Bryant used to rap? I see a collaboration. The Worst of both Worlds.

I don't know about what Akiey is saying, but because I know you know waaaay more than what you put in this video lol, all I can say is I AGREE FULLY! Like I said on youtube, I commend you on not telling their business. Funny thing is, I was on the phone with you when we found out before it was plastered everywhere online etc. We talked about how we never thought that Chris would do something like that, and how we can usually spot the abusive types.

Akiey is right that it's not okay for anyone to hit anyone, STILL, if a woman does strike a man... he still could've restrained her but instead he beat her A$$. I don't see how anyone could defend that, even chris has admitted he was wrong (regardless of the situation). It is NOT okay for a man to beat a woman, and frankly I'm surprised akiey is defending that. Really surprised. So basically he's saying that if she started it then she deserved a beat down?! WOW... please tell me I read that wrong. you have got to be joking!
