Just venting myself again

We all ….
Have a fondness for the flashy things in this world, I among the rest am no different.
The fondness of having a new car, flashy jewelry, the largest music collection interested me. it brought me closer to the overall blindness that was brought on me by television and other forms of media to further enslave my mind. Now some of you may be saying flashy things don’t rule me and in some cases that may be true. Let me ask you this. When was the last time you looked at you surroundings? I mean really took a look. What do you find? You will probably find that in the among of all the things you have in your house today nothing is of real true value. Have you took the time to really think about how much money was thrown away on these things. The answer in many of you today is that, no the time was not taken. No the time was not taken to explore in the value of this stuff that blinds you to the point that you can’t see, homelessness, poverty, a true struggle, because you where in a struggle prayed and got delivered from your struggle. See the point I am trying to make is that you have left out the supreme point in the picture you prayed got delivered and forgot, oh you may sit and say I didn’t forget I remember what I went through. But in the still of your deliverance you refuse to sacrifice anything to feel the struggle again. Homes are being clouded by the loudest surround sound, the biggest television, the most channels, which of course show how to get more stuff.
I have these people in my life that seem to always talk about how good things are going for them and how if needed, they will be there. I see them on the fly all the time dressed, nice cars, nice house, everything seems to be going on with them in the right direction. When asked by another person for help, the people turned their back as if to ignore the problem and not face what they claim was in their past. Again blinded or should I say shielded by what prize possessions they have in this world.
A blessing is as far as you can send one and receive it, when it turns to things that you have received truly from the hand of God you can be sure you will not be blinded by such. When things are looking as if you are making statements of self , and then backed up by commentary with the “I” factor then you are now blinded by your surroundings. Your flash or should I say flesh has gotten you so wrapped up all you can see is your life and not the ones still affected by what you went through in your past.
What is it when you see ignorance in the street, rims on cars bigger than the car itself.
How is it that we can now praise things that are not normal and frown down upon that which is holy, right, or as some people say, normal. Material things have taken over in this world as being the true meaning of happiness and wealth. The ignorance that has blinded the people of this land to do the strangest of things. We have looked upon the loudest colors the, biggest of things to define our state of mind.
My black people it is time for us to stand up. Stop trading a good education for the dismal surrounding of being flashy. Stop looking like the very thing a few years back you laughed at. Pick yourself up and state your name.
