Good vs. Evil

Some where out there is a war going on not the one of Iraq
But the one inside with vision and wisdom I lack
It’s a war of Good vs. Evil
Somewhere of in the jungle Good is walking proudly humble in the stacks
How do you have proudly humble you will ask
Because he is proudly walking like a Lion cleverly stalking his prey
Humble enough to know that God our father is providing the way
Bending and turning through the pages of this life
Tearing down the ages of stereotypes like butter with a hot knife
But somewhere in a cell sits evil with his smile
Relax he is going to be there a while
Contemplating holding back tears of his fear
Like a baby when it feels abandoned
You see Good never liked Evils hand and
Given the cards he was dealt I am sure he would have folded
While Good is out exploring the world Evil is doomed to be scolded
Some say Good would not have done that Good is an okay guy
So it must have been Evil that shot that man down to die
Somewhere there is a war going on between right and wrong
Good is playing the flute all to the tune of Evil’s sad song
While on the inside Evil is fighting to stay alive in a world granted by gangsters and thugs
Dark dismal place with ironed bars and blank faced mugs
You see I was there and I saw the whole thing pass
Right up until that gunshot blast
His family was in danger he had to do something quick
Making the ends meet and keeping the house from being sick
An intruder on the prowl trying to take what little he got
Protecting his family the intruder had to be shot
This is more dangerous then a plague of rats in your home
Someone trying to take away his family tormenting his own zone
Good sitting on the sidelines asking what would Jesus Do?
While Evil is saying use your protection fool!
As the barrel is raised he shouts hey stop thief
As the crook takes off with the car with his baby still in the seat
Bang he shoots through the glass so smooth
But the thief continues on his mission to move
Bang, Bang he licks off two more
Hitting the driver through the now mangled door
As he approaches the wreck to hold his child so true
Hands full of blood he notices the baby is hit too
Trembling to stay alive he tries with all his might
But to small and too weak he gives up his little fight
With tears in his eyes he now considered a third strike
Thoughts and memories of his little tike
Protecting his family is the reason this felon is laying down
A war between Good and Evil peace will never be found
I tell you this story it’s contence is all true
When faced with a war of your own what are you going to do?
